George was first to say first of one of my recent videos and thus wins this shot. So congratulations good morning, quite copter, 1 1, here with another neat new airplane. This is the radio link a 560, the 560 meaning it's five hundred sixty millimeter wingspan on this airplane. What is these 560? Well? It is a five mode. It has five different flight modes, we'll go into them later traitor. This is actually a trainer aircraft for beginner flyers, although it's of doing advanced flying we'll talk about that again later, when we go over the different flight modes now, it's also supposedly good for outdoor and indoor flying. Now, how do you you say? How can this big aircraft be used for indoors? Well, you have the capability of adjusting the gyros on this aircraft. Doing a gyro it's a gyro stabilized aircraft, but you can adjust the gyros for real slow flight by braising up the front nose of the aircraft while on the deck and putting it on. You know, put some supports underneath the front nose here for a higher angle. Attack and then calibrating the gyros by bringing both sticks down not on the gyro control, and that will give you a high angle of attack flying if you want to fly this indoors. I'Ll. Try to demonstrate that if I remember alright, when we go out in the field when we go flying, how you do that it's constructed of polypropylene phone okay, which is very flexible and also crash, resistant, supposedly and also lightweight this whole aircraft with a battery installed, is Only 180 grams, I believe, hold on folks I'll get that for you, okay, I just weighed it with my scale, its 184 grams with the battery installed.
What does that mean? That means in some countries a lot of the countries. Actually, since this is under 250 grams, you will not need to register register it with your local aviation authorities, so that's, cool and stuff there. It has quite a big prop on it. This is an 80 403 prop by the way it's a fixed, it's, actually quick, release type of prop with a rubber band here very simple to replace you do get a single replacement propeller with this, but it's held in place again mainly by this rubber band. On the front here you can see I've you do get spare rubber bands. I forgot to include that showing that here hold on I'll find those rubber bands. These are the spare rubber bands you get for holding that propo on along with some velcro. Actually, I believe, that's the velcro is for holding the battery in place on this aircraft, but with that in mind, we have a quite a large brushless motor here. This is a 2204 1500 kV, brushless motor that powers this aircraft it's powered through a 15 amp ESC on the aircraft. So you have high, you know 15 amperage ESC. You can use either 2's or 3s batteries with this plane. Now this particular plane again comes with a 2's battery 660 milli ampere hour with red, jst connector, and the way it's affixed in here is it's it's linen here now I forgot to mention this does not come built.
Okay, it says ready to fly. You know it's ready to fly, it comes with its transmitter, but this does require some minor assembly. Mainly this section here is not attached when this comes in the aircraft, the section that holds the battery in place and the wing a place, and you have to install the wing and glue the wing on on to this, I will include there's a link below the Manufacturers actually made a little video showing how to fabricate this because of the instructions for this or in Chinese right now still currently in Chinese. So you you're gon na, have to rely both of my video, probably and also on the manufacturer's video, how to get this into the air, because all you get for instructions with this. Is this instruction sheet here and each one of these here or links to Chinese videos, but you also have to download a special app with each of these links to view those videos – and I wasn't about to do that. Folks, you know I don't trust video apps that come via barcode scanners, but this lower one in the lower right is actually the manual. Unfortunately, the manual is in Chinese, but I was able to decipher it with Google. Google Translate so I'm going to include the switch positions later that which are very important in concerning this aircraft. If you want to fly the different flight modes – okay, I mentioned the 15fps c2s battery.
This comes available as PampP or ready to fly. The version I got is ready to fly. The P and P versions are 4s 2 ppm receivers transmit receiver transmitter combos. The one I got here usually has the radio link receiver built into it? Where are you there's the receiver on the left side of the aircraft? It'S, a radio link receiver that goes with their particular transmitter, which is the ts5 believe no tas dns transmitter now let's talk about this transmitter before we go. Actually. Let me finish this up. First, real, quick, again: there's the radio link receiver. There is the flight control board, with the gyro stabilizers on it, and we'll talk about the stabilization system. Later it comes with three different servos here's, a servo for the aileron control that goes to the you know. Single server, for both Allen runs the servo for the elevator control here and the sorrow for the rudder control. Now each of these servos is attached to pitch horns and control rods via these little control linkages. Now you can adjust this and you will need to adjust it because some of mine were off okay. They were not centered when the when you turn on the aircraft, but you were, you will likely need to Center. Some of these control surfaces and it's really easy to do using these slide connectors. Here you just loosen up this little Phillips screw here, and then you can slide the connector in or out to straighten the continuer particular control surfaces.
If any of them are not straight out of the box, okay, now I mentioned the radio link transfer let's get into that again. It has a built in three point: seven volt 800 milli ampere hour battery, so you don't need to use doublea's with this really there's. No place to insert those delays, but that is charged via this micro USB port. Here, the micro you B port will charge it up charged about 15 20 minutes. Now there are different settings on this. Let'S go over the switches on this. First, you got a scroll wheel here. This is not for this aircraft. This is, if you're, using something that requires us for a wheel such as a gimbal. This Raider, like transmitter, could be used with that. But again it doesn't apply this aircraft, and this button here is similar to a camera button again, there's no camera on this aircraft. So this button here does nothing. You do have trim buttons for throttle and you do have trim buttons for yaw or rudder trim buttons for pitch elevator and shrim buttons for roll our eyes on this now. The important buttons are these ones. Here. This is to morning position switches here, 3 position switch on the left, although you only use two of these forward and back and a three position switch on the right and you do use all three of these positions for flying this particular aircraft. Now let's go over these. This is capable again I mentioned, of flying five different flight modes.
The first one is stabilized now I'll stabilize flight mode. It will that's what I meant. You know it goes right with what the name means is. This is fully stabilized gyro, stabilizer and accelerometer stabilized. It will auto level while flying and it's mainly for beginner fliers with stabilization, Auto leveling on also angle restrictions, there's, a certain pitch angle. This aircraft will not exceed upward on when in stabilized mode, along with certainly roll angle that this aircraft will not exceed and that'll prevent it from pitching over or rolling over, to cause a crash again that this mode is mainly for beginners and to activate that to Activate it you're going to need to move both of these switches forward, okay, full for it, and you will be in stabilized mode for the aircraft. The next mode for beginners I'm gon na go with the beginner ones. First is vertical mode crippled mode? You might think that's for a beginner, so well yeah it's, because it's fully stabilized with angle restriction – and you know stabilization and angle restriction. You go into stabilized mode while in forward flight and the elevator on the aircraft will pitch up and bring the air left into a stable hover, and you fly it just like a quadcopter in when it's in vertical mode with throttle to go up or down. You ought to go left or right or no yeah well pitch you, her roll. You left to right, Oh actually, I'm, not sure folks, we'll find out we're gon na fly.
I think this will roll you left or right, and this one here will slide you left or right. So if you want to slide left or right, I think you use this one. If you want to roll, looked right, we'll find out when we get out in the field, but that's what it does in pitch forward and back like a helicopter or a quadcopter. So if this is a quadcopter, this would be pitching forward, and this will slide left to right. If this does fly like a helicopter and then this would be giving you roll inputs, yaw input, so I mean left or right and then we'll find out if they actually does it that way, when we go now the third or yeah, the third mode is stop. Now in stunt mode – and it sounds like advanced but it's – really for beginners and intermediates – it still has stabilization. It still has self leveling it's. Just that when you go into oh wait, I forgot to tell you about vertical mode vertical mode. The switch position for vertical mode is the left switch is all the way back, and the right switch is all the way forward. Okay, I'm gon na also include a slide up here. To show you all these summarize all these switch positions but again vertical mode. All the way back and all the way for next one is stunt and I'm in a switch position, for that is also this left switches.
All the way back and the right switch is centered. You put an in centered position for stunt mode now, a stunt mode again is not what it sounds like you know, the beginners and intermediate be able to fly it in stop mode it's. Just that you know it's fully stabilized it has self leveling. So if you let go of the sticks, the aircraft will come to a level flight it's just that the angle restrictions are turned off and what that means is you know if you give it too much pitch or too much roll it will roll over will go On its back and the reason you want to do, that is, you can do loops and rolls beginners and intermediate flyers will be able to do loops and rolls. But if you get into trouble, let go the sticks on the aircraft automatically right itself. We'Ll see how well that actually works, and when we go out to fly okay, the fourth flight mode is called gyro mode and to set that you put the left switch forward and the right switch. You put in center position forward in center position. This is for advanced fliers. Okay, if this one here turns off the stabilization and it turns off the self leveling also. So if you let go, the sticks, it's not going to write itself it's going to maintain that position it's in it's, just that it is mildly stabilized there. There is some smile, stabilization and that's to counter wind gust as if the aircraft's gets buffeted by the wind and the stabilization will try to to fight that, and it makes it easier to fly in the wind, so that's.
The idea of gyro genre mode, it's stuff for advanced fliers, because there's no intermediate and advanced fliers, because there's no self leveling included with that and the fourth mode and the fourth mode you can activate by putting this left switch either full fort or full back. And the right switch goes all the way back for for manual mode, but what manual mode does is it turns off completely the stabilization system, the auto leveling, the the angle restriction. None of that applies it's full manual mode, okay, so there's no, no input from the gyros at all in manual mode, and you were going to have to fly that manually. You know just like a normal aircraft, so once you feel you're ready to go, then I suggest one through gyro mode first and then, if you feel comfortable with gyro, then you can advance on to manual mode let's go over what you get in the box, real Quick again, you get the transmitter. The t8s transmitter, someone, the ones that are being sold in Asia, have a bigger transmitter. That'S supposedly 2 kilometer range. This one, I dot, will give you 2 kilometer range cuz, there's, no external antenna, we're, probably talking about 100 200 meters of this particular aircraft, and I don't see why you would want to kilometer range with the beginners flyer, because you're not going to be able to See this at 2 kilometers range at all, probably 200 meters is about the farthest you want to fly, but you also get a micro, USB cable and you need that Mykel use Kable again to charge this controller.
They comes with some adapters too. If you have thumbs with this cable – and you can use other cables – I'm – not sure how you use these adapters but they're in there, you get the controller again, you get the aircraft, you get the 660 milliamp hour battery. You get the to spare rubber bands for the propeller. You get some velcro for the battery. If you want hold the battery in better, you get you get this little part I'm, not sure what it is. It comes with. It. I'Ll put it up closer to the camera, I hope it's focusing. Maybe one of my viewers can identify what it is. It has a little spring with it, but I haven't look closely to see what this is actually for. You also get the spare propeller. You get a charger with for the battery it's a sky, RC III version, along with it, is an instruction manual SK, one: zero, zero, zero, eight one it's a 2s and 3s battery charger and says also one us, although I can't see how because there's a 2s And 3's only port here, no 1s port at all. So I think they're wrong about the 1s let's block that one off and you also get a power cable, but with a European plug. So if you don't have this type of plug in your home, you're gon na need to get a cheap adapter to go over that or use your own 2's battery charger, which is what I use you know if you're into the Hobby, I recommend getting a good Battery charger than these types, but you get you know, it's a motor so about let's charges.
Supposedly so I don't know how well or work but supposedly that it does ok, that's what you get in the package. Let'S see make sure I didn't miss anything here on my cheat sheet here. Yeah let's go over to the build again. I mentioned the build. You need to glue the wing and you need to glue this part on to you're going to need to glue you're gon na need some glue, obviously, but there's one other thing that I noticed. I mentioned the the push rods the issue about having to adjust the push rods, but my motor was not securely fastened. This is just a hot melt glue down here. It looks like to tell you the truth. Folks is what they used, and one of my well points or my glue points had broken laughs and the way I fixed that was, I just took some an old triple a card at an old expired triple a card, it cut some strips and then bent it Around that and glued that on here to secure this motor a little more secure than the way it is with these glued points, I don't think these glue points are gon na hold very well so I you know, I beefed it up a bit and you might Want to beef yours up too, because I I don't see this holding, especially in cash. These are gon na break, so that's the radio link, eight five sixty and those are the control positions and again, I'm I'll include a slide somewhere in this video, showing what the different control settings are, along with a link below up and upload that video as a Jpeg or not that video that that slide is a JPEG so that you'll be able to download it for yourself and use it with this aircraft as a reference, so let's go fly the radio link a 560.
So I hope you enjoyed this flight good morning quite comfortable on oh one here and we are at at one of my favorite flying fields: what's the radio link a 560 before we started. I wanted to give you a little caveat here in the tabletop review that I did of this drone. I said there was no English instruction manual available. I was wrong folks. I looked on the side of the box and I did find a QR link that did link to an English version of the instruction manual it's, more or less the same as what I had deduced for switch positions. So there's. Nothing really changed from what I've already told you, though folks, but there is an English version of the instruction manual available and it actually is well written. I was so kind of surprised. I'Ll include a link to that instruction manual in the below video description of this video. So keep that in mind. Okay, we are ready to go actually that's. Make sure that our switch positions are both forward both of them forward so we're gon na start off and stabilize flight I'm gon na try to take off from this little short runway here. Hopefully, it'll work and try that so first things first turn on the transmitter. Transmitter is on and then turning on the drone by plugging in its battery, it ain't a drum folks it's, an airplane recorder drone, because I do so many drone reviews that's a way.
Okay, we actually should be good to go so checking in to control surfaces right that's, going to turn right. That'Ll turn left checking the rudder left and right rudder and we got some throttle, so we should be good to go. Okay again, both switches are forward. Let'S. Give it throttle and see if it takes to the air yeah whoa it's fast. It could be a fast flyer there at high power, but I've just reduced the throttle and now it's that's more reasonable. It can take off like a bat like a banshee there. Okay, that's much better you're, reducing the throttle. You don't need that much throttle folks to take off, especially with this stabilization system on it. It is stabilized. You can see that four nice smooth turns you really should give it. Both runner and L are on Wow. This flies very nice, actually folks, very, very smooth, there's, just rudder turn you do that if you wish and then give it a little LR on for a much smoother turn. This is actually a nice flyer. Okay, I was wrong. Actually, I didn't have any hopes for this airplane. I didn't think it was, would be such a nice flyer, but it is very, very gentle yeah. I wouldn't do that coming around okay. Well, let me get a feel for it and I want to try that vertical mode and do the vertical mode I am going to hit the switch back and there's a vertical mode.
You got ta, give it more throttle. You don't it'll it'll, go back and it's propwash so give it throttle when you're in vertical mode now is it flying like a quadcopter kinda go back to horizontal flight? Well, there you go. It can fly like a quadcopter doing that again, vertical mode back to horizontal cutting power. Does it Glide let's find out gliding it glides rather well give it a little throttle now to keep it in the air. Now that stunt mode is, let me fly it around. A little blur you get to feel better before I go into the stunt mode I'm gon na try the stunt mode also, and actually one thing on before I wanted to go into stunt mode. I want to try something in, and that is to raise the angle of attack a bit now. Let me show you how to do that, bringing it around going down this way, I'm going to come in for a landing first reduce the throttle. Thank you that pine cone – okay, remember, I told you about you – can raise the center of gravity on this by or not the center of gravity raising the angle of attack on the aircraft. But if you pitch up the front of the aircraft on a flat level surface and then calibrate its gyros okay that's, what we're gon na try to do here, let me try to find that an elevated flat level circle of ated section here with.
Actually why don't? I just put it right here on the ground. This is pitched up a bit here. This area here it's a little bit of a hill and we'll say that is its new angle of attack. Okay and it's, going to pitch up the aircraft like such and we'll, see if it actually can fly like that, but again you put it on a surface elevated a bit and then both sticks down and out until the motor twitches. Okay, that is new. Now, new understanding of flat, ground or flat level flight, which means it's going to be flying like this now folks, giving us a higher angle attack, and it actually should fly Lots slower, let's see if we can do such so giving it throttle. Is it slower, reducing throttle, oh yeah, very slow now, but it's also a wobbly with this new angle of attack? The angle of attack is really high, so that means we're right at the edge of stalling it folks, but you can fly a lot slower with this new angle of attack. Okay, I want to see what we can do there, but we'll leave it at that. Right now and then they're going to stunt mode, I got to move this right, switch back and the set or the left switch back and the right switch the center position. Let me get a little altitude before we do that and back to centre. We still got Auto leveling.
Okay, we should be in stunt mode. Is it still our over leveling? Let me try it yeah. Okay. Now we can do stunts and let me bring their closer. We don't hand out of the sudden. We don't need to be that high, but yeah it's it's, flying the same as before stabilized except now, there's, no angle restrictions, so I can go up and roll. Let go and do all kinds of stunts. Hopefully, oh cool. There are rolls it's, it's, actually, a really nice spent plate. You just let go of the stick folks when you complete your stunt and there are no levels, so this is actually an awesome plane, really an awesome plane. I actually like this thing a lot. What it can do, let's bring it over here, so you can see it. They don't need to be that far away didn't. Do it loop that yeah easily let's go back up again and roll it meet airplane? Folks, I mean it's, really neat I'm, actually surprised what this can do and actually I think you could fly this indoors. I mean look at the speed up flying it neat airplane folks, yeah. You could definitely fly this indoors, really neat stunt plane in this stunt mode. Okay, it's stabilized so beginners can do this, then you're like go to the stick and it goes back to level flight. Let go the stick back to level flight. Reducing throttle, I mean, got too much throttle.
Therefore, this tricks, the beginner he's gon na – have to watch their throttle. This is one of the coolest plays I've, seen to date that come on a lot of you know a lot of people aren't too thrilled about this plane, because they haven't been able to find that English instruction manual that's the problem but it's the it's really neat. Okay that's our battery, I think folks, I'm getting low from all those stunts. Now keep it by it's, a 600 milli ampere our battery. In there some people say you can put an 800 in there to get a little more flight time, but you don't want to put too big a battery in this, because once it gets heavy it's not going to be able to do all those stunts again. Let'S see if I can get a little more flight time here without doing the stunts I'll just fill out the rest of it flying and stabilized mode. Okay, I push both sticks forward for stabilized mode let's, see if I can get back in here yeah again, so the flight let's just do some flying over here in the grassy field. Until that battery really is depleted, but yeah I'm, giving it more and more throttle. Maybe I can't go over to that grassy field. We'Re gon na call quits here folks, cuz I'm needing to get more and more throttle to keep it in the air, so we'll stop it there. So that's the bot, the flight time you get with this 600 million up every, not a lot of flight time, but it was really enjoyable, though the time that I did get out of it, because what it can do is really spectacular.
I really like this point. This is the radio link, a 560 it's, really neat what you can do with this plane. A beginner can actually do stunts. With this I feel again, all you need to do is just let go of the stick and if you know, while you're doing stunts get into trouble, let go that stick and it goes right back into level flight and it flies slow enough that a beginner pilot Should easily be able to avoid most problems so hoped you enjoyed this flight. This is quite comfortable one again with the radio link a 560. You really need airplane folks signing out high quadcopter 101 here again hey if you want to get your own shout out in one of my future videos make sure you subscribe to my channel it's real simple, just go to my channel page and click on that subscribe And also make sure to click that Bell button right next to the subscribe button.
