Nobody asked for it, and it's very existence makes the internet that little bitch today we're basically gon na poke and prod the still twitching caucus of MWC 2020 and see what each foreign manufacturers plans on other. The massive mobile export is essentially worm food. There will, of course be time for view of comments as well and if I haven't topped myself at the end of that one then I'll come that as a personal victory. Cue, the jingle to expert weekly. So I was due tomorrow to fly out to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, it's one of the biggest tech Expos of the year. Well, literally, dozens and dozens of om unveil a latest shiny gadgetry to the world. That is, of course, until the dreaded coronavirus bit the entire place, its shorts and as a result. Unfortunately, most of these very excite launchers have either bid per spawned, or they will just be happening online instead. So let's take a bit of a look at each manufacturer. In turn and see what their plans are, if indeed they have any plans that they've revealed so first up is up or and they're big launch was scheduled for Saturday, the 22nd, where we'd see the fresh, find x2 flagship phone and possibly the new Apple watch star Wearable as well – and this has been completely cancelled with no word yet on a rescheduled date, so stay tuned on Sunday, the 23rd. We would you to see, while we unveil some shiny new gear, possibly a follow up foldable device, as well as some tablets and laptops.
But now that launch has been bumped to Monday it's, an online only affair. Another m to be see has been it can, but do not worry. I will be bringing you some hands on action with all of that fresh new Huawei kit, at around the half 12 ish mark on mondays to check back for that. Xiaomi, Nokia and Motorola, with really other big boys, set to launch new K on Sunday as well, and all three of these have postponed indefinitely, so stay tuned for more info on them. Lads now sony was one of the few manufacturers scheduled for monday launch originally yankin back the curtain on its new flagship phone, as well as some more affordable handsets, and this launch is actually still going ahead, but it will happen online via the sony xperia youtube channel. Instead of live in sunny barcelona, but once again i will be bringing you hands on action with those new devices. You want to check back here, arounds of the sort of half ear in the morning, mark UK time, bluff, nice and early coffee at the ready, and that real me has also turned it's Monday launcher invent into an online extravaganza where the x50 Pro 5g will be. Officially thrust upon the world, but all real me itself has already leaked the thing to buggery, so it ain't exactly gon na be a case of thrills and spills. But if you are looking for an affordable, 5g handset with snapdragon 865 smarts as well, it could be one to watch.
Definitely won't have to sell off too many internal organs for that one. So that's what's happening so far with all those big MWC, 2020 postponed launches. As they check back on Monday, mornin and afternoon for some hands on shenanigans and hopefully I'll be bringing you hands on with the likes of the jar me kit, the Nokia stuff. All of that very shortly as well and now it's time for the part of the show that's about as enjoyable as a colonic irrigation, with hot beeswax, it's fewer comments, way fewer comments so start on the show I bet. However, techies were looking forward to that. Boss alone, a trip for a big year, then actually given a nickel about covering all the actual events and WC yeah, there are definitely worse locations to hold an exploit, certainly been to several of them got on it. If MOOC was held in Swindon I'd, probably be a lot less bothered about a binge canned. I love the way you make cliche tech videos funny and more entertaining to watch one of the best tech reviewers on YouTube. More power to you. Awesome cheers buddy I'm. Just going to leave that comment right there on screen for a bit longer thanks, sir what's. Your take on phones leaving out the headphone jack I'm, still shocked that people are just going to let it slide bloody Alexa chatting away in the kitchen shut up I'm. Shooting a video bloody hell he's coming at the stuff these days was it about a headphone, jacks yeah.
No, I love using Bluetooth, earbuds the pure convenience of it, but having that option to just plug in a proper pair of headphones is always great as well. Unfortunately, these days you've got to go budget. If you want a headphone jack and now that especially the even the more premium mobile manufacturers like Samsung, have decided to Jack them, it jack them in a matt, says your honest opinion. Given the price of the Galaxy S, 20, Ultra, is god damn high? Is it worth it well, for those of you who don't know the s20 ultra here in the UK starts from around the 1400 pound lock and I've had a chance to use it. As my personal, so I can't really properly comment on it, but I really struggled to recommend anything that hits that sort of grand mark without being really really innovative. And I know it's got some very clever tech in there, such as the 100 times spear soon, which is very nice and seems to work alright. But how many people are actually gon na need that in their everyday lives, to really make everything that much better and when you can get an amazing handset like one plus 70, for like half the costs yeah, I mean I've, pretty much sums it up next up. I wonder if your daughter is around when you see a stuff at 20, so I'm, guessing these time, stamps refer to me, seeing things that are little bit naughty.
I know I'll be the first one there I don't think I'm at risk of winning any done of the awards anytime soon. But even I try not to say things like stick and call around my my girl come on. Give me something great. A guy thanks, sir. Can you invent some home plus 8 news next week I'm getting impatient about the release? Yes or the the new one plus? It is gon na be the first to feature a built in bottle off and ac and crack up and a nice ice cold brew wherever you wrong. It'S gon na have 50 gigs of ram, because why the not oxygen OS is gon na come packin a fresh new pigeon air strike feature basically just press an on screen button and every minji skywrite within a hundred yard for sanity will flock upon your current position And then take a massive shoots on whoever your point in the phone at and you're also gon na get a fresh set of wallpapers designed by the one surviving chuckle brother, so hopefully that's good. Add your loins and at some point, i'll actually bring you some proper 1 8 news. Hopefully any luck next up. So what is the most disappointment for an of recent memory? Aside from the pixel for series, pixel 4 was pretty high there just because of the battery life alone. One of the biggest disappointments for me personally was the nokia 7.2. When I had my hands on session, where they seem like a great little device, great design, really nice specs for the price, unfortunately proved a little bit too janky and it's everyday experience.
That was real shame and, of course, obviously, the new iPhones are utterly mediocre. As usual, but that was funny expected so it's not really a disappointment right. This one won't mean anything to anyone who didn't watch last week's episode, just a quick warning, it's a kaomoji and it wasn't crying edit. I mean it doesn't reflect what the video was about. Add the phone's tech. You were gon na talk about because people look at the thumbnail before they look at the title and that come she wasn't crying and then that cambogia is either flipping me off or he's very pleased to see me next to it. Will you be reviewing the bottle of the gia power it's filled with new key On February 20th, that you bet your ass I'll be reviewing the gia power short as shizzle? You have really enjoyed the g7 power before it's stunning vibe from and he's still one of my favorite sub to in Japan, smartphones right now house a little bit more expensive but looks like a pack small premium. Tech has really had an update in the camera area. In particular and obvious, I have that super strong battery life so stay tuned, hopefully the next week or so I'll bring you an unboxing and then, following that, follow a review. This one's, a bit of a two parter, do pay for your review models and also what got you into review and tech I do by the occasional unit to review so, for instance, recently I review the Samsung Galaxy air 51.
I had to buy that out of my own pocket, because something apparently doesn't want you to review anything apart from it's super premium, mega expensive stuff for whatever reason, but majority do come from PRS just on a short term they'll lawn. So I can slap them in there test it out. Do the review a few, a lovely fork and then I'm bong it on a back again as well, actually got me into this gig. Well, I used to be a proper HOD called programming geek back in the day and as long hours is quite stressful, and then I heard that basically, journalists can just play with shiny tech all dear and also there's, a lot of events with free bars as well. Unlimited booze, so that basically was the decision made right there. So I did a bit of night school action got my qualifications on my first proper paying gig was a glamorous they'll, still know what laptop magazine well back in the day, I used to work, probably bout. Ten hours a day in the test lab, which was literally a cupboard, as you can probably imagine, a tiny little room with probably about two dozen laptops all churning through benchmarking, software gets hotter than Sid and sphincter after a little while. So that was a very sweaty gig indeed, and then sorry, this is turned into a LinkedIn CV or something isn't it and then basically drawing mobile choice. Didn'T bit of edit in there then joined with kombu got into the video shenanigans.
And then, here we are sat on this sofa many many many years later, still banging on about shiny tech way. Next up, do you find it hard being one of the more independent voices of the tech world seems that so many rely on the YouTube analytics and posting tons of snippet videos on the unpop devices such as Samsung's and Apple's yeah? I mean it's a shame. The most youtubers do seem to concentrate on the other premium, shiny, expensive, stuff, obviously that's the stuff that gets all the cliques and everything. But I think that if you're gon na comment on that premium stuff, you really need a balanced view. You need to cover the budget stuff as well, because, frankly, most people don't need that premium super crazy, shiny stuff. They just need something: that'll get them through everyday existence. You want something to check their meals watch a bit of YouTube things like that, and you can do that for a couple hundred quid you don't even spend a grand on a bloody phone and it's very important. I think that we get that message out there and that's why I'm trying to cover as much of the budget stuff as possible as well as, of course, those flagships? Oh oh Christ, I've just seen the time sweeper Nick it's, the last one. Do you think HTC will make any more flagship smartphones or they just employed two hood pixel phones, now poor HTC, I did used to love their phones back in the day.
They kept me very busy because they seemed to come out with a new one. Every other week pretty much, I called you them getting back into the flagship phone gig they've got a couple of funny little experimental, like Bitcoin phones, going on from what I'm aware of, and I think they still do the occasional desire, but I think that's basically it For them, it makes a lot more sense to concentrate and they're like survive and other interesting little side projects like that. I think so. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much to everyone who left to comment down below in last week's episode again more comments. Please down in this week's little boxy thing below my talking head and we've already covered what's coming up next week. So, as I say, come back next Monday for lots of Hanzel and shenanigans with Sony and Huawei and hopefully I'll be bringing you some more cool new kits very shortly as well, once the other launchers have been rearranged and, of course, don't forget to come and join Me right here on my software, will snuggle up together next Friday and have another tech spurt weekly, so yeah happy solves a lovely weekend.
