Сейчас, let me grab the box sitting down here. Lean down. Here is the box. It is the dtx that's, the dtx 16 for 16 или 1 16 scale, looks like it has some led lights on here. I'Ve. Not even this is the first time it'll be a maiden run on this, but on this on this buggy, but uh really excited you know: i've won some zd racing stuff in the past. They always make really cool, looking rc very inexpensive with brushless motors and such, but you know it can be a little hit and miss some of the zd stuff. At times you know and they've notorious for having some. You know differential issues in some of the earlier stuff, but you know the smaller stuff like this tend to be pretty reliable and again this is brushless and it is, it is um. You know it's not very much. I don't remember the exact cost on this, but uh. If you're interested check the uh description, it'll be a purchase link to banggood4. You can see that i keep popping this up. Had the the body clips off but here's the led strip here on the top it's 4×4 oil filled shocks fully independent suspension on this guy really nice. I can't show you here, but when i go out to do the drive review here in a minute, i will, when you drop this it's, really soft the shocks here. I'Ll lift up the top of the body here.
The shocks in here, as you can see again really soft. They look metal but pretty sure these are just plastic uses. A dean's plug on the battery it's got a brushless esc and receiver combo, pretty standard par for the course type of stuff. For a bug you, the size, here's, your servo down here in the bottom it's got a 3300 kv. I don't remember the size, but the little bitty zd racing branded brushless motor on this guy everything looks right, it looks you know it looks pretty nicely built. Let me grab the battery and you know, как вы видете, this is on a hinge, so you can just take out the two body clips, rotate it back and get access to your battery to plug it in and you don't have to worry about. Taking all the body off — and you know losing on misplacing the body or something like that, so yeah really sharp again here's your differential going here on these, and if i run both you can see it's going to back. These are looks like these. Are. I think these are. Let me see if these are metal dog, bones yeah. It sounds like it by the sound, so all full metal dog bones there on the drive shaft, so let's grab out in the box here. I'Ve got the uh all the stuff in here, and you've got a 1500 milliamp, 15 uh c 2s lipo that go in that dean's plug and your balance plug standard connectors.
What you want to see on something like this in case you would decide to use a hobby grade charger instead of the included one, but the supplied one is not bad it's, a it's, a b3 pro. It says imax rc, but that's not really imax like skyrc makes, but these i've had these before these work, pretty good they're, two and three s chargers. They gave me both a uh eu and if somewhere, if i got it here, i think it fell out of the box right now here it is it's already on it, and america on american usa plugs so you're good on both connections. You don't need an adapter for that and it's got some other accessories. It'S got like a receiver cover or something in here and some zip ties. I don't know why you would need that. The instruction manual is pretty uh i'm, not going to pull that out. It'S got some 3m adhesive double sided tape in there and that up the instruction manual is pretty common zd one it's, usually the other 116 scale, it's, not real in depth, but there's an exploded view in there. So you can see all the parts if you need to reassemble this guy, and then here is your controller, pretty standard zd racing and i've i've seen this on hbx. It uses two batteries that go into it vertically on the bottom. Here i'll show you guys there and uh. You know, we'll see how this works.
Um i've got one hbx one like this, and it works really really well with the two batteries like this, but some of the other ones can have a really short range on the other design i'm hoping this one's going to be pretty good. It does have an auxiliary button here, which i don't think is used we'll see maybe like maybe i guess i could control the lights or something if they have that. I didn't see it mention instructions, your steering trim and you got a uh. It looks like your throttle trim there. It says: speed switch, i don't think that's going to be like a dual rates and then you've got a steering reversing which you shouldn't need to use on this, but in case the servo was plugged in wrong. Then you could, знаешь, flip it around uh the direction and you're on an off switch, so yeah that that pretty much does it for this guy again, i have a purchase link to this guy in this. In the video description again, i don't remember the price off hand. I wanted to think it was somewhere in the 80 i'm, pretty sure it was under 100 баксы. I hope it still is. At least these prices can change on this chinese stuff quite easily, but you know for a brushless this. I really want to get my hands on this because that's a really good price. I do like the zd racing stuff, so i wanted to see how this guy does.
Is it worth the the money uh you know on this low price? Is it worth it because the brush this stuff is really coming down in price, where you don't have to spend three four hundred dollars on a brushless car anymore, so yeah that's wraps up this uh quick overview here. Let you guys see everything. So what we'll do is we'll go out now i'm going to drive it around out in front of the in laws house and some rocks and we'll do the driver view so we'll be right back for that guys, all right guys so let's take the zd racing. Little 1 16th scale rocket a buggy out now for the test drive. Now this rock driveway, my in laws is really nice for driving these little cars like this, especially this size. So i thought i'd just drive it around here and see how it does in the rocks. I already have it bound up so it's all ready to go as you guys can see. It'S four wheel drive so i'm gon na toss it out here. You guys can see the nice suspension that probably didn't show up in my field of view, so let's toss a little farther out here. It seems to do pretty good. I really like suspension on this guy yeah it's got that grass. I need to cut the grass here, but even through that really tall grass it's doing just fine as you'd hope it would do on four wheel.
Drive yeah. Oh even uh did a wheelie there. Four wheel, drive don't, usually do wheelies too easily, obviously as much as a rear wheel drive. Well it handles. This is really nice. I'M really liking. This so far, it's handles nicely, конечно, is all fully proportional, full proportional steering and throttle which, if something brushless it's all you're, not gon na get a non proportional, brushless car. But i really like the sensitivity. I can see the steering's really nice. I mean make these nice tight circles. You know it's, not forcing me to make big turns or anything like that which these cheaper cars sometimes can do. Let'S go ahead and hammer it yeah. Это. This is sharp. I mean my preliminary uh assessment on this. I guess you could say is i'm impressed. Obviously i need some durability testing to make sure the differential and the gears all hold up. But you know my feeling is as long as you stick to 2s. I don't think you're gon na have any problems with this car that's. My guess you know i don't know if they've got metal harvest, it probably has metal gears, but i mean usually your sometimes these companies will use a nylon or plastic gear and metal, and then you kind of mix them and of course, you end up going to 3S or something you end up melting the gear, you know too much heat is generated, but 2s. I think we're going to be just fine, so i don't even know if you could do 3s.
I think the esc was like 35 amps somewhere around there, but i you know i just this thing's so good. I wouldn't see a reason to mess with 3s. This is pretty fast. Let'S walk it out here into the cul de sac here and see. If we get a little better idea on the speed, since we can't really open it up too much without drifting around rock, you know it's losing some traction, so let's yeah that's that's, not bad whoa rolled it. Хорошо, it did it did those tires grip enough. That is actually able to ride a wheelie at times, but it doesn't do it too much to where you're, where it's, causing control issues yeah i'm super impressed with this it looks like zd is oh they're, wheelie again looks like zds really started to uh step up Their game a little more if they need to because they did have some some issues with some of the earlier cars, especially, i was maybe the first person to review the zd racing zmt 10, the 9106, and that truck was hugely popular because it was brushless 110 Scale and like 130 bucks was just unheard of and it's a pretty good truck, but some of the later you know i was early with mine and it worked all i've never had a problem with it. A lot of people had differential issues when they really started. Cranking, those out they uh didn't, always assemble the uh differentials correctly.
You know the shims wrong and stuff in there and then, конечно, the the metal using the differentials were not the greatest either but uh they doing. It was fine for me and some other people had a lot of people. A lot of people had problems with them, but i think they've realized. You know as popular as that brand is becoming that they've got to make sure that they uh make sure the gears are all good in it, and so far this guy's really nice. So far rain seems okay, i'm, not gon na try pushing it too far. I'M. Not a real big range driver on a car i mean i want to keep it close to me anyway, but the hbx controller that's, similar to this. It came with some of those newer hbx had some issues with you know very short range, and the control was very similar to this, but this one reminds me more of the older hbx controller i use with my ground here's a ground crusher. It was called and that controller i love so this one, just two batteries, i'm getting sufficient range with just two uh. You know three volts just two 1.5 volt alkaline batteries, so that's great whoa and every time here, it's gone back on its wheels. So yeah i like this guy. This is definitely a thumbs up for me on this car right now i mean it. Just has it's got good speed for 2s it's.
The big tires are really nice and got good grip. This handling is excellent. It'S got good power. This is what you want to see if you're going to you know if you want to dip into the brushless world, and you want to maybe you haven't gotten into them, you maybe you were like me and you were into the older brushed cars got out of The hobby got back into it, and maybe you want to get into brushless. This would be a great car if you're just looking to get into brushless without breaking the bank, you can just see the brushless power and acceleration is just incredible or if you're looking to. Maybe pick up a car for a a teenager, maybe even someone as young as 11 или 12. You know you don't want to go too young on this car because it does have pretty good speed. A younger kid may just slam into stuff and of course, you hit stuff harder. If you're going to break something so yeah, this thing's got good speed again, i think it's great for a teenager or someone just getting into the hobby. It looks great those lights. I mean you take this thing out in the evening or even when driving at night, those that's led strip lights, gon na look great, of course it looks really cool now, but it being it's still. You know early uh afternoon here you know it's not showing up. So much and it looks like it does look like this — i did have a as you probably saw the light kind of went out and came back in now, it's working, so there might be a slight short in that one led light um but and it's all Going fine now, if i tap it, it's working fine, now that's kind of strange, but anyway this is really cool.
I really really like this again, if you're interested to purchase a link to this down in the description, if i get any coupons from banggood, i'll be sure to include them, but if it's still in the price range, i think it was. This is almost a steal. If you go to your local hobby shop uh, you can't, buy a traxxas or you know they're not going to have these brushless inexpensive it's going to be really expensive stuff, which is really good. I'M, not i'm, not uh, putting any kind of blame. You know that their practices, all that stuff's great um, but it's gon na cost a lot of money. So maybe someone who's on a budget or you're someone who is not looking to spend that kind of money. This would be one i would consider as long as you're, okay with waiting. You know it may take you a month to get this from china. If you're here in the united states, all right guys that wraps up the review of the little brushless 116 scale rocket. 4X4 be sure to subscribe to the channel click the bell.
