    1. Yes, order from Gearbest using the link in the Show Notes under the video. The prototype units are the first 10 or so produced that the watch company can use for testing or to send to bloggers like me to give the public exposure to the watches. They generally aren’t for sale.

  1. It’s still Bluetooth 4.0, wich, if you use it with any kind of true wireless buds, and this will give freedom from cellphones, wires, etc, especially for running, won’t work well.
It works, probably, with Bluetooth wired headphones, like the Sony ones, but not with the likes of Geariconx 2018, etc. A shame that such a good idea is always ruined by bad antenas. The sound drops, especially in urban environments, are simple way too much.

    1. +SmartWatch Ticks yes that the one I wanted. But you can’t buy it in the USA. Any phone in the USA with those specs

    1. Yea, that’s why I wanted to mention it. Each time I look I think, “Oh, I’ve got time”. Then I twist my wrist to light up the actual watch face and declare, “Yikes! I’m running late!”. Drives me nuts. I’m getting used to it though. I use the ambient for a rough idea and the real face for the real time. Yet another odd twist they are throwing at us with these watches.

  2. Can you confirm the differences in LTE bands please?

    From what I’ve gathered so far, Lem8 has B1 / 3 / 5 / 7 / 20; i8 has B1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12 / 20.
If this is true, then the i8 is much better suited for the USA (having band 2, 4 and 12 support means it will work well on TMobile and ATT).

    1. Sorry, I can’t confirm the bands, but I am attempting to test both the LEM8 and I8 with an AT&T 4G LTE SIM. On the I8, which has the SIM in it now, the pulldown screen shows 4G, but the Speedtest is getting only 1.5 mbps data download, which is like the old 2G EDGE rates. Not sure if I have an APN configuration issue or what. I hope to do a Part 3 comparison video once I’ve got the cellular data thing resolved.

    2. Can you try the MTK engineering mode app? Try MTK settings > BandMode > Select SIM.There, you’d see all the available GSM bands, UMTS bands as well as the LTE (4G) bands.

    3. The bands supported are exactly the same on the LEM8 and I8. LTE Band 4 is NOT supported, but the other ones you mentioned are supported:

      GSM Mode:
      EGSM900
      DCS1800
      PCS1900
      GSM850

      UMTS Mode:
      WCDMA-IMT-2000
      WCDMA-PCS-1900
      WCDMA-CLR-850
      WCDMA-GSM-900

      LTE Mode:
      Band 1
      Band 2
      Band 3
      Band 5
      Band 7
      Band 8
      Band 12
      Band 17
      Band 20
      Band 38
      Band 39
      Band 40
      Band 41

What would this mean for 4G data rated in the USA?

  3. Smartwatch ticks, I know you won’t remember me but I remember finding you when I saw your KW18 smartwatch review. I’m happy to see this channel still reviewing many smartwatches! ❤️😅😂

  4. Hi SWT love your videos, My question or concern has to do with the Always time feature. My understanding is the whole reason for having the feature is so you can look down and see the time without fiddling with the watch but if the time isn’t accurate until you turn the watch on then it doesn’t seem to be a very good feature at all. What’s your opinion on it?

  5. Can i take call of its sim through my bluetooth earbuds?
Which android app can be used to connect it with smartwatch?

  6. I’ve never owned a smart watch. In my quest to find information about them, I found your channel. I’m SO glad I did! Your videos are so in-depth and informative. I settled on the I8 from this video. I’m a woman, and the watch will likely be a little big on my wrist, but I think I’ll be ok with that. I’m just going that the stiff bands won’t be uncomfortable. lol Also, if I remember correctly from another of your videos…. The I8 can now be tethered to your phone and make Bluetooth calls from there. Right? Again, thank you for your great videos!

  7. Great review. I purchased an I8 and am impressed so far. Quick question. Does anyone know where to get another magnetic charging lead? The one that came with the watch is ridiculously short. As for the ‘Always on Display’ it lags about 3-4 minutes but if you tap the top button it moves to the accurate time.

  8. does the text/phone works without the sim card, as long as you are near your phone? this question is in regards to the Lemfo watch. Also, the Lemfo watch doesn’t use Android Wear 2.1?
