This optical flow drone includes the capability of recording still photos in very high resolution . Find it here

– Folding drone for portability.
– Optical flow and pressure sensors enables steady automatic hovering of the drone without pilot input.
– Uses common 2.4Ghz WiFi. Most phones should work with this drone
– Records video in 1280 x 720 or 1408 x 800 pixel resolution, and still photos in 1M, 2M, 8M, or 4K (4096 x 3072p) resolution. Here's a sample 4K photo
– Camera lens can be controlled remotely aimed up or down via the transmitter and your phone.
– The 3.7V 1800 mah drone battery provided close to 11 minutes of flight time.
– There is no need to purchase AA batteries for the controller as it has its own built-in 3.7V 300mah rechargeable LiPo battery. .
– In flight video can be viewed and recorded to your smartphone using the "HFun" app available on Google Play here and iTunes here . App can also be used for gesture control of video and photos, and optical follow me capability.

– No SD card. Records photos and videos to your phone via WiFi only. As this drone has capability to record video or photos in very high resolution, expect increased frame dropping and lost photos at the higher resolutions.
– Advanced optical features of the app were buggy and may have been caused by momentary interuptions of the WiFi signal. They also seemed to work best under phone control of the drone (without the controller).
– The controller has no high rate selection. As such, the drone may have difficulty flying on windy days.

    1. Congratulations. You were the first to say First (and who had not already previously won). You win a shoutout in a future QC101 video. Again, congratulations!

  1. thought I was on the wrong channel when I saw trees…then I saw your shirt and knew I was where I needed to be lol, all the best from the wet and windy UK

  2. Yet another pointless drone. No SD, buggy app, problems with rates. Yet the video is nice step-up. Sooner or later the holly grail will emerge !

    1. Will it follow a bicycle without the phone?
If phone is necessary can it be put in back pack to follow?
And will it rise and fall with altitude as you go up or downhill?

    1. I don’t keep them (don’t have the storage space), nor do I sell them or do giveaways (don’t have the time or want the hassle of packaging and mailing). After their reviews are completed, they are piled in the back of my van and donated monthly en masse to local schools and charities (Toys for Tots and local schools Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) clubs).

  3. just a curious question,,,,I notice that you make palm motions with your transmitter,,,does that really synchronize your tx? Why do you do that,,,,,does it really work? Love your reviews,,look forward to them all….thanks…..jim

    1. I use it in combination with my video editor as a visual cue to synchronize the drone’s video with my speech.

  4. Fantastic review and Testing my friend, think the camera quality is very good, think it would be a good starter drone especially because it’s slow, you can’t really get into trouble, great video 👍😊👍

  5. It’s a shame you don’t have a donate button! I’d without a doubt donate
to this brilliant blog! I suppose for now i’ll settle for book-marking and adding
your RSS feed to my Google account. I look forward to new updates and will share this blog
