This new folding Hubsan drone includes a nice 4K camera with a 3 axis gimbal. It doesn't have all the capabilities of higher end drones. But at under $400, it doesn't have their higher end price either. It's a pretty good deal at its price level. Find it here direct from Hubsan (comes with Hubsan support) or from Banggood here

And here is some unedited 4K footage from this flight

– A 4K three axis gimbal brushless GPS drone for under $400.
– Uses 5G WiFi for long range FPV video. However, users do not need a 5G phone. Simply plug in your 2.4Ghz WiFi phone to the controller via provided OTG cables, and the controller will convert and amplify WiFi FPV, control, and telemetry signals to and from the drone.
– Good FPV and control range of close to 1000 meters (I got 830 meters before lost signal return to home).
– 3S 3000mah battery provides close to 18 minutes flight time.
– X Hubsan app enables numerous advanced flight modes including waypoint, orbit, follow me, active track (spotlight), line fly.
– Returns to home and lands at takeoff point on command, loss of signal, and on low battery.

– Hubsan only recently completed release of the Android version of the X Hubsa app for this drone. As such, the Android app still has some bugs. But Hubsan seems dedicated to fixing them, with a new update expected later this week.
– 4K camera does have some issues with white balance when flying toward the sun.
– As video is 4K, you will need to use a high speed SD card to keep up with the data. Generic no name cards will likely not hack it.

  1. Hey, I broke my drone that I got yesterday, the CX-10C, the on off switch fell out is there any way to fix it or reuse it

  2. lol the Youtube notifying system is so slow… Congrat to the first.
Great game by the way Quadcopter 101 … Great quadcopter (the best for it’s range of price in 2018)… and great review of course 🙂
In your demo, it shows that “Active Tracking” needs a good mobile phone CPU for its A.I. , better the CPU, better the tracking will work.

  3. This is the fairest review of the Zino I have seen so far. I trust Quadcopter 101 to do due diligence. Thanks for calling out those who neglect to do the compass calibrations and then complain about the flight characteristics (And thanks for reminding me, too btw)
I love my new Zino. Sure to love it more after I install the firmware upgrade on Dec 10. Some of the “trick” features, as I like to call them, will be wonky until the upgrade is loaded. I don’t use those unless I’m trying to impress my family at picnics, etc. anyway so it’s not a deal breaker. I bought the Zino for the camera. You cannot beat the price for a 3-axis stabilized gimbal (Just watch the replies, right?)

  4. Hope mine will work as good as your model. I pre – ordered my Zino in October and still have not received it yet. Fair review of the Zino as per your usual honesty. Quadcopter 101. 👍 Thanks for your thoughts. 👍

  5. I love the review very good I must say you absolutely right people should stop trying to compare a $400 drone to $1,000 and above drone, I look forward to getting the Hubsan Zino or Xiaomi Fimi A3 once I see your review I’ll make my decision thank you in advance God bless…

  6. Hi, nice review! There were two mistakes in your video though.

When you drew the box in active track mode you still have to tap to execute. Then it will actually follow instead of spotlight.
And when in waypoint mode, draw actually means draw. Draw a line, circle, square or any route you like it to fly and the software will automatically make waypoints on that line you drew. Then you don’t have to select ‘draw’ every time you add a waypoint.

I think the footage looks pretty amazing. The budget obviously went to the gimbal and camera…. 😉

  7. Watched Dustin Dunnill’s review of this one, and it seems to be “geo-fenced” at somewhere around 1000m (1km), which is the advertised range .. which you didn’t get on your model. I noticed the first freezing of the FPV video at just over 300 m out. Since it apparently loses FPV & Control at the same time, and then automatically does an RTH, and it has no sensors to avoid anything in its return path, prospective buyers should be wary of flying in areas where there are things it can hit (trees, buildings, towers, etc.) I agree that this should not be compared to a Mavic Air or Mavic, as those are both more expensive “pro-sumer” UAVs. This one is in the same price class as the DJI Spark, which only has 1080P video, but does have sensors and better range. Still room for improvement in FW & App, and we’ll see if Hubsan comes out with additional updates for it. (not sure why they released it without a working Android app, since 86% of cells/tablets in the world wide market are Android.) Going back several years, this would definitely be a better bargain than the V303 or X380 from WLToys/XK Innovations, as you had to install your own gimbal/camera/vtx on those, which would put them in the same price category as this one is now selling at, or perhaps even higher. It’s definitely better than the new Bayangtoys X22, but then the X22 is less than 1/2 the cost of this one. Lots of choices out there, so prospective buyers would do well to watch as many reviews of any new model before parting with their hard earned currency. Cheers.

  8. can you tell me more about the smart charger you said would work better than the one that comes with the zino.
