It looks to be another banger smartphone from Huawei, at least in the hardware department. Lots of leaks in China right now are giving us some information on the camera set up for the p40 probe. So if you follow Huawei and their smartphones, you'll know that their flagship smartphones use a completely unique camera sensor, developed in line with Sony called the IMX 600. This is a special image sensor in many ways, not only because it is unique to highway it's a relatively large sensor, at least compared to the competition which usually helps with image quality. But it also has a special pixel layout with red, yellow, yellow blue pixels. Rather than the RGB layout, which why I say, helps their cameras in low light, however, as this sensor is now a few years old and Huawei have recently used it and moved it down into some of their range phones, namely the V 13 from honour, and then Over 6 from Huawei speculation was rife online that they were readying a brand new image sensor for their flagship smartphones. Recent reports, out of trying to do in fact, suggest this to be true. Leaks are saying that Huawei will in fact use a brand new image sensor in the p40 Pro developed again by Sony this time, moving from a 40 megapixel camera sensor into a roughly 52 megapixel camera sensor. In fact, to be perfectly accurate, the reports are saying: it's, a 50 1.2 megapixel sensor again with a four to one binning ratio which would take normal images to around about 13 megapixels.
Well, we are expected to keep the red, yellow, yellow blue pixel layout in this camera sensor, which is something they say, does give better low light shots. What I have been using the 40 megapixel Sony IMX 600 in their smartphones since the Huawei p20. So this brand new 52 megapixel image sensor that measures in at a size of 1 over at one point 3 inches much bigger than the one over 1.7 inches of the previous version should mean that Huawei are about to take another big step in image quality from The p40 pro there has also been this extremely grainy image of what supposedly, is the p40 pro's camera module circulating online in China it's extremely difficult to make anything out of this? Really, apart from the fact that the designer general does look to be an enlarged camera, cutout, exactly like the one that we see in the honor v30 and, for example, in most Samsung phones that we're seeing come out right now, another report in China suggests there will Be a 5 camera setup on the back of the p40 Pro, and this repeats the rumor that the p40 Pro will indeed carry 810 times optical zoom periscope camera as well. It would be the first phone to offer such incredible optical zoom in a smartphone, and this could be called ultra vision camera as we see why we have registered these trademarks recently. Other names, thanks to this leaker, do suggest some new technologies from Huawei, namely in the camera department, the charging Department and in the design department, the quad curved display that is apparently coming on the p40 Pro at least may be called quad curved overflow, but I think That sounds more like a professional drainage system than a cool bit of smartphone tech, so we might have to change that name up a little bit, so it looks like both Samsung and Huawei are using a brand new high megapixel, bigger image sensors in their flagship smartphones.
This year, I'm, definitely looking forward to getting my hands on both of those flagship phones and doing the camera.
