WiiWatch –

They call it an “Induction Screen”, and that may be the correct way to refer to a screen that gets brighter in sunlight but, at the same time, looses color as it shifts to black & white & gray. Most of us have heard of “Transflective Screen” technology for these type of screens, so I’m continuing to use that term here to minimize confusion. This is one of the largest screen we’ve seen on an Android Smartwatch, measuring a full 1.53 inches across for the active display. The watch houses it nicely by extending the screen edge-to-edge with a thin , plain bezel. Given that large screen space, the pixel density is only 320×320, not the typical 400×400 seen in the standard 1.39 inch diameter sized screens.

This watch runs the tried and true Android 5.1 and appears to handle it well with smooth scrolling and watch optimized operation. After all, there have been a couple of years now to refine it. Oh, and yes, this watch also includes the special app for Bluetooth tethered calling with your phone, making the I3 a true dual-mode watch out of the box. This is a worthy choice for those looking for a good sized watch with an easy to read screen.

If you haven’t noticed yet, the I3 is practically identical to the Zeblaze Thor Pro with the exception that it has only one button (the Thor Pro has two). There is another notable difference, so be sure to watch the I3 / Thor Pro comparison video before you decide which one to buy.

  1. So over the non removable band watches now….if it doesn’t have removable bands and no front face camera…no thanks..not for me…. (exception for the Lem X can live with side camera on that one! 🙂

    1. I need this outdoor viewable watch face! Totally changed my life being able to see clearly outside. Of course, I’ve fixed mine through the “Floating Toucher” app to keep the screen always on and in low brightness.

  2. Hi Mr. Ticks… The “Asterisk” right above the Low Med or High setting is actually a little light animation showing Low Med or High. This Bakee sure does seem to be the Thor Pro without the lower button on the right side. I’m looking forward to your comparison video on these two watches. I am enjoying the Thor Pro smartwatch.

    1. Going into final editing on the comparison with Antutu scores, GPS comparison and a whole lot more. Probably will go live tomorrow sometime. I’ve now chosen my favorite between them. Sure wish I could test battery life between them without it taking forever. Perhaps I’ll leave them on all night with nothing but WiFi on and see how they compare in the morning. If I do, I’ll put that info in the show notes of the comparison video.

    1. Nope, sorry, simply don’t have time to test the batteries on these watches. That and phone call tests and how notifications and WhatsApp works (or doesn’t work) are things I am leaving out of my reviews due to lack of time to get them in and still be able to keep up with my backlog of watches for review. The best bet is to search the net for actual user feedback about battery life and other things I don’t cover. Thanks for your understanding.

    2. I have the zeblaze thor pro and the battery considers 24 hours Max just with the notifications as emails and lighting in Mid

  3. Hey Mr ticks, any status on the Colmi/Bakeey J1? (Colmi has it on their site but Banggood has it on their site as the Bakeey J1 and Gearbest has it as just J1 3G. I have yet to see any video review or any written review about the product. Thanks!

  4. How is the battery on this watch? As an estimate?

Might look into getting one of these watches to go alongside the amazfit bip once I save some more money for it if the battery is decent-ish

  5. Hi sir great video. You are brilliant Sadly like limfo ( they told me) bakeey also dosent work in India, no 3g watches work in India now .
