HP EliteBook 840 G7 | Super-Secure Professional Laptop
If you're a serious professional like myself. Looking for your next perfect portable pal, then the elitebook will really baste your chicken. Now hp has kindly sponsored me to use this laptop as my own for a couple of weeks and then take you on a full tour of the elitebook 840 g7's key features. So here's a roundup of everything you need to know and from one of the latest greatest tech please do put subscribe and hitting that notifications bell cheers now fancy yourself a portable laptop to drag around all day long. Well, the elitebox 1.3 kilogram chassis is crazy, light as well as compact enough to cram into even very modest backpacks and carry bags that aluminium frame may be super light, but it's also reassuringly rugged. In fact, hp has put the elitebook through all kinds of military grade: durability tests, including drop dust vibration, humidity, altitude, low temperature, high temperature. I mean they really put this thing through hell and probably in a fight between this laptop and the rock hp would really bring the pin to dwayne and connectivity is on point here too you've got dual usb c ports, both of them boast in full intel, thunderbolt Support and of course, the main advantage of thunderbolt over standard usb is the incredible data transfer speeds. So, for instance, you can happily hook up a 4k display and enjoy flawless ultra hd, visuals and you'll also spy a pair of old school usb connections, as well as an hdmi port, a smart card reader and a kensington lock all squidged onto those sides.
A very impressive lineup indeed now forget all about such archaic practices as entering a pin or a password in order to unlock your laptop. The elitebook 840 g7 serves up a responsive, fingerprint sensor, as well as impressive face recognition, which works really well, even when you're slumped in a darkened corner of the dodgiest local pub dodgy local pubs. I really really miss you working from a respectable, well lit cafe, chain. Just ain't the same and that's just the beginning of the impressive security setup here on the elitebook 840, because hp has made sure that your privates will stay private by adding a trusted platform, module chip to the system's motherboard and, in a nutshell, this basically encrypts and Safely stores, all of your sensitive data to stop naughty criminal types from illegally accessing it. You'Ve also got a comprehensive suite of security software bundled on here, including the likes of sure sense for spotting any potential threats and then there's. The excellent show view which can prevent noisy lingerers from checking out everything you're up to when you're working in a public place and that's also pretty good. If you're watching something slightly embarrassing and you don't want others catching wind and that all adds up to proper peace of mind for professionals, professionals like me, creative users can definitely enjoy that 14 inch. Ips display as well. The full hd resolution keeps images crisp when you're editing your picks or dosing off work with a bit of angst, fueled, anime action and color.
Reproduction is accurate too, almost entirely covering off the srgb gamut, plus that incredibly effective anti glare coating on the display, combined with the mighty maximum brightness of around 400 nits means you'll have absolutely no problems with visibility when you're using this thing outdoors and that, of course, Just further boosts the portability of the elitebook 840. and the audio chops are just as strong here as well. Thanks to the stereo speaker setup with a tasty bit of bang olufsen tuning clarity is crisp even on the top volume helped immeasurably by the positioning. Those grilles aren't, tucked away beneath the laptop, so the sound, is actually blasted right at your face and if you find yourself answering endless emails in your daily graph, then you are going to get on very well indeed with the elitebook 840.. That chiclet keyboard is an absolute delight, considering the laptop's skinny build offering respectable travel and a firm, comfortable typing experience. You'Ve got three levels of backlight in here and a glorious spill resistant design as well, which is an absolute lifesaver when you're desperately trying to crack through that last bit of work on a friday night, with the help from a few shandy's and while there's no touchscreen Control here, the suspicious trackpad is pleasingly responsive to your swipes and gestures, with clickable corners that don't send the cursor skittering across the screen like a drunken giraffe. An hp has even added one of those funky pointer nipples to the middle of the keyboard for those moments.
When you need absolute precision complete with their own dedicated mouse buttons now in these rather strange and decidedly crappy times, it's also imperative to bag yourself, a laptop that's great for zooming, skyping microsoft, teaming whatever you fancy some more good news, then, because the elitebook 840 g7 Boasts an hd webcam that can clearly capture your mug and, while there's no built in lens cover here, it is obvious when that camera is in use because of the bright notification light that flashes on alongside it, and this laptop also boasts a triple mic setup. So it can clearly pick up your voice even with a fair bit of background rumble for the inevitable barrage of online chats and another highlight of this professional laptop is the performance with grunt provided by one of intel's 10th generation, core i7 platforms, which is built for Security as well as a good bit of grunt work and it's, backed here in the elitebook by a healthy 16 gigs of ram, whether you're, working with demanding creative apps or simply not a fan of closing down browser tabs in chrome, the elitebook won't soil itself and Give up everyday running is perfectly smooth, and this machine's integrated graphics can even handle a bit of light gaming on the side. As long as you don't expect to run anything hardcore, you've got full intel, wi, fi 6 support for a strong and stable web connection and hp has also crammed in a nippy 512 gigabyte nvme ssd, which, in my tests, hit rather tasty, read speeds over 2.
5 gigabits Per second and last up, portability is even further enhanced by the very respectable battery life. The elitebook can keep you going for a full day on a charge. No worries this thing has got proper steering power, so thanks again to hp for sending in the elitebook 840. G7 for me to have a bit of a play with definitely enjoyed using it and that's a full run through of some of the best features on there, which, as i say, very well suited to professionals, especially if you've got security in mind. It'D be great gritty.

Super-Secure Windows OS, what are you smoking?
This will be perfect if one of the Thunderbolt ports switch place with one of the USBA ports
Fan noise ? Should have talked about it, HP laptops are pretty loud when that intel turbo boost kicks in. Had to disable it on mine, the noise was too much.

Just don’t drop it on a corner, the casing most likely won’t crack, but the lcd will. 🙂
Do you mean ‘very secure’, or maybe even ‘very, very secure’? Get a grip!
