We have the brand new pixel 4a 5g. This is a phone that you can buy for about um, 500 or just under 500, and then we have the poco x3 nfc. This is a phone that was released about a month ago, and this is a phone that you can buy for just under 250 dollars. So basically, the pixel 4a 5g is twice the price, as always, through this video i'm, going to show you a bunch of daytime pictures, we have portrait mode pictures, we have pictures taking on the ultra wide lens. We have some zoom pictures. We have nighttime pictures, some of course using the night modes on both devices, sample videos and, of course, selfies and just before we start make sure to press that, like button it's going to help this video quite a lot and well basically, me and with that being Said let's start by checking out some pictures taken with the ultra wide lenses on the back of these two devices. Alright. So after looking at those pictures, the first thing i've noticed is the fact that the poco x3 has a somewhat wider field of view. So you can see a bit more in those some pictures, not to mention that if you start zooming in on some of those pictures, the pictures from the poco x3 seem to be a bit sharper, so very unexpected from the poco x3. Considering the price. Looking at the colors, i feel that the pixel 4a 5g retains the original colors better um, where the poco x3 does have a bit more saturated colors.
But i couldn't say that the pictures from the poco x3 are bad. I think they look pretty good for a phone on around 250 dollars, but what do you guys think? Which one do you prefer for uh? The ultrawide pictures, the poco x3 or the pixel definitely leave a comment down below and let me know next, we are checking out some portrait mode pictures and for portrait mode pictures. I feel that the pixel does better in every single picture. Now i have to say that the pixel doesn't do perfect for edge detection um in in a couple of those pictures, it kind of misses the edge detection, but overall, on my skin looks better. The pictures are sharper so for portrait mode pictures um, i feel there is no comparison and the pixel 4 a5g does better than the poco x3 and fc. Next. We are moving on to zoom pictures and keep in mind that neither device has a telephoto lens on the back, so everything that you are about to see is basically digital, zoom, electronic um zoom all right. So, looking at those pictures, i feel that the pixel 4a5 5g does better in every single picture. I mean the pictures aren't perfect, but they're slightly sharper than the pictures taken by the poco x3. So once again for um zoom pictures, i feel that the pixel 4 a5g does a bit better. But what do you guys think do you prefer the pictures from the poco or the pixel 4a 5g and we are moving on to pictures taking the main lenses on the back of these two devices and once again for the price of the poco x3? I have to say that i was quite impressed, so first of all picture sharpness is almost identical in between the two, but i did notice that dynamic range in certain pictures is actually a bit better from the poco x3 nfc compared to pictures taken by the pixel 4 a5g now for color accuracy.
Once again, the pixel 4 a5g does a bit better. The poco does use a bit more saturated colors and the pictures are also a bit more contrasty. So i guess it comes down to your personal preference and what the what you like. I can't really say that the poco x3 nfc does bad. I mean the pictures aren't as saturated as the pictures that we would get from a samsung device, but they aren't as accurate as the pictures that we get from the pixel but overall for the price of the phone. I think it does really good. So once again, let me know in the comments down below which phone you prefer for the pictures taken by the main lens, all right, then we're moving on to nighttime pictures, so for all the nighttime pictures, i use the night mode when available. So if you're using the ultrawide lens on the back of the poco x3, there is no night mode available, but we do have a night mode if you're using the ultrawide lens on the back of the pixel 4 a5g. So the first few pictures that you are seeing were taken with the night mode on the pixel 4 a5g and the ultra wide lens, since we don't have a night mode on the poco, x3 and fc. Of course, the pictures aren't gon na be as good so for the ultra wide lens and night mode. The pixel 4 a5g does better next we're moving on to pictures taking the main lenses so for the main lenses.
Both devices have a night mode available, but keep in mind that the poco x3 and fc doesn't have optical image stabilization for the lens. So if your hand is shaky, if it's windy, your pictures aren't going to be as sharp, and we can basically see that in every single picture, um pretty much all the pictures taken by the pixel 4 a5g are a bit sharper and they have less noise. So, overall, if you're using the night mode on the main camera on the back of these two devices, the pixel 4a 5g will do better for every single shot but um. What do you guys think about the night modes on these two devices? Is the pixel 4 a5g twice better? Well, definitely leave a comment and let me know and we're moving on to some sample videos and once again i have to say that i was quite impressed by the videos that i got um from the poco x3 and fc. I was actually expecting way worse than video quality, so, first of all the image stabilization. Yes, it is better from the pixel 4 a5g, but the poco x3 nfc does pretty good for image stabilization. As for video quality, once again, the pixel 4 a5g does have more accurate colors. The poco x3 nfc is using a bit more saturated colors and a bit more contrast. The pixel also focuses a bit quicker, but then, when you check out the nighttime recordings, um well, the poco x3 nfc actually does better, which is quite um, surprising, so i'm going to let you guys watch those sample recordings that i have and then we'll come back And uh we'll talk about them and move on to some selfies all right.
This is our first video recording between the poco x3 nfc and the pixel 4 a5g for this recording i'm using the main lenses on the back of these two devices and recording in 4k. At 30 frames per second, so we're going to stop somewhere around here closer to this tree, we're going to pan left slowly towards the tree. Next we're gon na pan, right and we'll go back left and um i'll also run for a bit, so you can see which one has better image stabilization while running, and i guess i might as well walk a bit so you can see how they do while Walking so yeah this whole recording in 4k at 30 frames per second between the poco x3 nfc and the pixel 4a 5g would look like for our next recording between the poco, x3 nfc and, of course, the pixel 4a 5g i'm. Using the ultrawide lenses on the back of the two devices and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, as you can probably see for yourself, i am walking fairly slow and looking at the screens here. The image stabilization is much better on the pixel 4am. 5G. I'M, not even sure if the poco x3 actually has any stabilization for the ultra wide lens i'm gon na have to check that um. When i get home and see the footage on the computer so yeah. This is how recording would look like if you are using uh the ultra wide lenses on the back of the two devices and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second.
I also wanted to show you how a recording would look like if you are recording the front facing cameras on the poco x3 and, of course, on the pixel 4 a5g. So the maximum recording resolution for the front facing cameras is 1080p on both devices. So pretty similar we're going to stop here for a bit i'm going to pan this way, slowly and back this time, i'm going to walk a bit faster, so you can see which device does better um good image stabilization while walking so yeah. This is how recording with the front facing cameras on the pixel, 4 a5g and, of course, the poco x3 nfc would look like all right. So this is a quick video test between the poco, x3 nfc and, of course, the pixel 4a 5g for this recording i'm. Using the main lens on the back of these two devices and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second, you can probably see there are some lights on the street here, so it's not totally dark. So we're gon na stop somewhere around here, we're gon na pan left slowly and from what i'm seeing on the screens here. I think the poke was actually doing a bit better but again, we'll have to see how this footage actually looks. Um on the computer, so yeah this whole recording in low light in 4k, 30 frames per second. What the main lens would look like between the poco, x3 nfc and, of course, the pixel 4a 5g and as you've seen for yourself, the poco, x3 and fc is surprisingly good for its price.
But overall, yes, the pixel 4a 5g will do better. Now. I also forgot to mention that the pixel 45g can record in 4k at 60 frames per second, where the maximum recording resolution for the poco, x3 and fc is 4k at 30 frames per second, so something um to keep in mind all right, then next we are Moving on on to some selfies – and i have to say that once again i was impressed by the daytime selfies that i took with the poco xtreme nfc. So they look almost as good as the selfies that i took with the pixel 4 a5g, which is kind of unexpected, because most xiaomi phones don't do that amazing for selfies. Well, this one did pretty decent, i would say, but for nighttime selfies there is no comparison. The pixel 4a 5g does seem to do better in all pictures, so there you have it the poco, x3 and fc and the pixel 4a 5g. What do you guys think about these? Two is uh the pixel 4 a5g twice better than the poco. I don't think it is alright guys.
