We first got some planted leaks from oneplus with android authority and some other publications, but now oneplus are just putting it all over their youtube and everything. So we know 65 watt charging great spec, so this is handed down by oppo up. I have moved over to 125 watt given oneplus the year old 65 watt, but certainly this is still a stupid. Spec 65 watt is absolutely mental and i've used it in a few phones. It is amazing it does change the way you think about charging for sure. It'S just pop it on and pretty much half the battery's there before. You even know it other than that, and i really like this – a 120 hertz display but a flat display, and that basically means a cheaper smartphone, because the display is one of the most expensive parts, especially when it's curved so yep a flat display. But with that key spec, 120 hertz high refresh rate screen, i really like that other than that it's, more of the same from oneplus, really a slight redesign for the camera array going for a samsung style or you could say huawei style, because i think they were Actually, the first with the honor v30, but anyway, that modern 2020 camera array, design, two main cameras really and then two auxiliary cameras that are just making up the numbers, but overall it's, just a solid smartphone flagship, soc great screen: amazing charging. Yes, it's going to get beaten by oppo uh next year, but it still is really really good cameras aren't going to be world beating.
As always, this is a oneplus phone that's just the way it is, but a price in the region of 699 us dollars. That is competitive for these specs, so this is the android flagship that i think most people are looking for in terms of the price and the specs you get also coming from oneplus, though, is this rumored device, the oneplus n10 5g it's a kind of weird one And we've seen this leaked well, i say leaked again: oneplus basically work in conjunction with android authority to tell us about their phones. So we have this phone it's, a budget phone, apparently about 400 using a snapdragon 690, never heard of that one before definitely a low end or budget chipset. But it has 5g coming in at about 400, which is certainly competitive with the google pixel 4a and the iphone se. You do take a huge step down when it comes to the chipset in this phone, but apparently a 90 hertz display that's great for a 400 phone. The cameras will again just get beaten by the pixel and the iphone that's. Just what oneplus give us they concentrate on the screen really? Would this phone be a good bet for someone over the pixel 4a or the iphone se in america or western markets? I'M? Not really sure, i guess it depends on the user, of course, and you could buy a year old flagship for i guess like 500 now so is it competitive? I guess that's who you are, is it coming in october? Possibly not.
We do know it is coming at some point but october, maybe not maybe that's just reserved for the flagship oneplus 8t. Then we move on to xiaomi and they are giving us their new flagship phones, which is the me 10t and me 10t, pro yeah they're. Using t the same as one plus, so maybe we can compare these in terms of the me 10 t pro, though this is a typical xiaomi device, xiaomi literally shooting for the stars when it comes to the specs there's, literally everything on this numbers galore. So you have 108 megapixel camera 50 watt charging, and this really interesting spec for me, which is this screen 144 hertz refresh rate so yeah, we know really 2020, is all about refresh rates. This whole year has been about who can give us the best high refresh rate oled screens, but xiaomi are doing something kind of different here. They are trying to beat the competition with this refresh rate number at 144, so yeah on the spec sheet, 144 beats 120. it's a higher refresh rate, but xiaomi are using an lcd display or what we would call an ips lcd display. This means, fundamentally, the phone is going to be cheaper to produce for xiaomi lcds are cheaper, they are not considered as premium as oleds for many different reasons. They simply do not have the same contrast ratios or colors or general quality. As oleds and you've got this hertz refresh rate.
Would it have been better for xiaomi just to use an oled display with 120 hertz or even 90 hertz? Possibly, i guess that depends on who you are, if you like, lcd versus oled or if you just want the highest refresh rate, it's, definitely an interesting decision by xiaomi anyway. This means that the fingerprint sensor is going to be on the side button. The phone is going to be a bit bigger and thicker than you would get in other phones that use oled just because of the technology and the way it's manufactured according to leaks anyway. This phone could be coming at around eight hundred dollars, equivalent price, so that's us dollars, um it's kind of expensive there's, a ton of competition at 800 it's going to be launching on september 30th, which actually is a clash with another release. So we'll see how it goes all right, the biggest launch really of next month the one that's going to get the most hype anyway, iphone 12. yep, four phones in the iphone 12 series, iphone 12 pro pro max and most interestingly, for me, this new one, the Mini and we've known over the last few days that this should be called the iphone 12 mini. If you don't keep up with a lot of other apple releases. Actually the mini branding is used quite a lot by apple. They have an ipad mini. They also have a mac mini and they had an ipod mini back in the day when you know that the mini branding kind of makes a lot of sense, because all of those products are smaller in some way and the 5.
4 inch form factor is brand new. It'S about the same size as the new iphone se, but completely bezel, less or i'd, say bezel less apart from that notch at the top. What is really interesting about it, though, is that it has the same processor, as the pro max has 5g has two cameras. Has an oled screen and is going to be the cheapest iphone. You can get that's kind of interesting right. I mean that is maybe going to be a super popular phone, a small phone, a lot of normal consumers who don't really care about tech too. Much just want a nice small phone and it's going to be packed with features other than that the primo pro max should be getting lidar sensors, possibly three times zoom up from two times, zoom, just an improvement. All around we've seen the a14 chipsets already been released by apple in the ipad air it's, a good upgrade, not certainly the most powerful upgrade apple could have given us. They have actually focused a little bit on battery saving because they're adding 5g in there. So it's a powerful chipset, a good upgrade and hopefully some better battery life, even with the addition of 5g. Let me move on to the pixel 5 and pixel 4 a5g, actually launching on september 30th same day as the xiaomi mi 10 t series launch. So we'll see which one gets more hype, but the pixel 5 really is a mid range phone, but it's actually got a lot going for it.
In terms of the cameras, google have taken away the zoom camera, giving us an ultra wide camera now, which most consumers kind of prefer. A 90 hertz oled screen is a good spec. The snapdragon 765g is a really good, chipset it's, just one down from the flagship, and that does mean google can take the price down a little bit. The phone is keeping a mid range kind of design as well fingerprint sensor on the back. A lot of people like that that is considered less premium, though than under screen fingerprint sensors and as google are using an oled screen. They could have done it but decided against it this time, as always, it's all about the camera on the pixel 5 they're, using the same 12 megapixel image sensor that they've used for like three or four years so it's all about how google can basically process those Images and give us better image processing overall, so it is all about the software once again from google. This phone, though, is supposed to come in at around 699 us dollars, which puts it in a ton of competition and a ton of phones, including the xiaomi phone and a couple of others, even the oneplus device that are really specs heavy at the same price. So i guess we'll see how google can do with this one and i'm going to mention the huawei mate 40 series, so this i don't think is going to be launched in october worldwide.
It may be launched in china only because of everything that's going on, so huawei usually just produce a real, proper flagship in the mate series. You have their brand new processor. So this time, it's going to be the five nanometer kirin chipset that's, the second five nanometer chipset in the world after apple, they may have actually been before apple if they could have got their stuff in order this year. But obviously you know what's going on with huawei. This phone, though, is really specs. Heavy 66 watt fast charging have a 90 hertz oled display and you have all of those cameras which huawei are famous for really two main cameras: a video camera and a photo camera. Two high megapixel image: sensors, the ultra wide used a video camera as well. Then you have the periscope zoom camera a great bit of hardware and i'm interested to see what huawei can do with these, because they're going to be putting hongbang or harmony os on these phones – probably releasing them in china, though so yeah worldwide launch, probably not in October, as i said, a lot of interesting phones coming in october, a ton of flagships and really just interesting phones for us to get stuck into, and i didn't cover the galaxy s20 fan edition from samsung because it has released already. But that looks really good as well, especially for the price. So i want to end with a question. You have the galaxy s20 fan edition at 699 bucks.
You have the google pixel 5 at 699 bucks and you have the oneplus 8t at 699 bucks. That is official pricing and also leak pricing that we get all three of those phones cost exactly the same amount, but man they are kind of different and almost impossible to choose between. I really like the s20 fan edition. 120 hertz display a lot to like in that phone same with the oneplus and google with those cameras. So i want to ask you if they were exactly the same price, which one would you choose, because i don't think i could choose between them. It'S really really close. Let me know in the comments which one you would choose also which phone you're looking forward to the most and, if you're looking to buy a new one, one of these, which one would it be. That is it for this one, though, thank you for watching thumbs up.
