Take a look at this really neat, looking rc jeep that i just got in the mail a few days ago. This is the fc model that's the name brand. I believe the model is the f1. Let me show you guys the box here, it is fc, model f1 is the model number and it comes in orange and white. As you can see here and it's got two different styles, you know a hard top and then like it open for each. You know the open jeep for each uh, color, the white and the orange f1 and f2 are the two different model numbers on this. This is a rather inexpensive jeep. I think it was somewhere in the 50 range i want to thank, and it seems pretty cool fully proportional has working headlights and working tail lights now it is actually has some authentic jeep branding that you don't usually see i've done the px toys and i did The subotech jeep, and neither one of those actually were jeep branded this. As you can see, it has real authentic, looking at least jeep decals, some like stars it's, almost like military it's, got the sport sticker here and i got a little piece of 3m in front of the way here. It'S got a uh pull it out. It'S got a jeep compass brand and the sport and then a wrangler unlimited. So i have not obviously put those on you and i'm, not a jeep guy.
I do think they're cool. I don't know a whole lot about jeeps, so i wouldn't know exactly what to put some of these decals on the jeep begin with, but it does come with that little instruction manual. This little piece here had some adhesive for the reflective uh stickers which go on these rear view. Rear side mirrors, which i figured out where those go to make them look like their mirrors. You also have to install the windshield wipers that's. The only thing that you need to do when you get this everything else is fully assembled on this guy and it's. It doesn't have a differential. As far as you can tell it, it seems to be more of a straight shaft in there. It does have fully proportional steering and throttle and it's just friction or spring friction shocks. There'S no oil in these they're rather cheap, but you know i mean it does the job. This is not very fast it's a little brushed motor which is up in here and you know, it's not brushes or anything, but you can't expect that at this price, but i think it looks really great. The doors do open, so you can open up the doors on each side. It has a pretty good detail inside there and the rear. Uh. Excuse me the rear door opens up here and then you can see, looks pretty darn authentic, so yeah. I, like that and the headlights work the tail lights work which i'll show you when we do the drive review here in a minute and the turn signals turn no those come on whenever you steer um, i not all the lights, stay on all the time.
You'Ll see that here, whenever i get it out here and we get it uh driving around here now it uses, i should show you: it uses a little 2s lithium ion pack. If i can get this open it's right up here in the under the hood, it is a 2s milliamps, so it won't be a huge drive time. That'S, that's, probably good enough for this little brush. Motor and uh here is a charger, a usb charger it's a little three uh pin connector that just uses on that. So, and here is the controller it's, very, very small. So if you have really big hands, this could be a problem it's an adult, but surprisingly it's, surprisingly good. For me, it's, a little bitty controller takes two double a batteries here and the bottom and it's you know: it's, not bad it's got a foam grip and it doesn't feel as cheap as it probably looks, it's got your on and off it's at your throttle. Dual rate, so you can set the top speed all the way up or reduce it that's, really not that fast. I don't think that's going to be a big deal, but if you're giving this to a younger kid, you might want to slow it down and you get your throttle trim and your steering trim. So right left right left, you know, um steering up and down should say, throttle or forward reverse and then right left. I should say for the uh throttle and the steering trims on this, so yeah that's.
All it is on this guy, so we should take it out now and we'll uh. I already did a very brief test run on this and i got it kind of you know: uh the trim, the throttle. Excuse me: the steering, trim, uh, you know evened out and everything now it uh it's, not really quick and you do um. It does kind of make a sound like it almost like it wants to go forward, but i've not been able to actually trim that out. But it doesn't actually move. It just sounds like it's, giving some power to the motor, even when it's in the neutral position. Now your on off switch is up here in the top, so it's right underneath the front bumper and turn that on go ahead and turn on the controller and then it's bound. You guys can see there's the front white leds in the rear. Here, if i go in reverse the rear, tail lights, come on almost like the brake lights. They don't actually come on when you're driving with the headlights, but the headlights do stay on. Then you steer, you can see, you do get your functioning, yellow, uh turn signals, but there's none on the rear there's. Only in the front is the turn signals let's go ahead and throw it down here in the rocks. Let'S drive it around. As you can see. It'S not very fast, this is meant to be sort of a crawler, but with being a little brush motor and at this price point it's not going to make it's not going to be a really good crawler, but it'd be a nice little off road vehicle.
For someone who's not worried about speed, really it's going to be for somebody who's, probably on a budget or someone who's, just starting out in the hobby and doesn't want to break the bank with their first rc. So you can see pretty slow, guessing that's, probably somewhere in the you know, eight to ten mile per hour range, not it's, not meant to be a speed demon. I can see it's pulling a little to the left so i'm going to give it some right steering trim a little bouncy but it's not terrible again. Those friction shocks are not going to be the best for that, but it's far from bad and it steers pretty good let's. Take it down here where i did the rgt truck a few weeks ago and see how it does you can see i'm just giving it a little bit of throttle, so it does have fully proportional but even full speed to regular. You know the lowest speed is not a huge difference. Yeah it's doing okay coming up here, let's, take it down in the hill here and turn around that and come back up. Yeah it's doing good it's got pretty good power. These lithium ion packs and lipos. They really do help um provide a little more punch to these brushed motors compared to the nickel cadmiums. We used to use working pretty good i'm it's pleasant, pleasantly surprised by the power it's, not uh, i'm gon na pick it up guys for a second yeah it's got good power.
There it's, you know for a little brushed motor it's doing good. I mean i haven't been stuck. I haven't rolled it over so it's, not super top heavy. Like you do see in some of these and yeah i'm gon na drive a little more here guys. We won't make this a very long video, as you guys know, um. I knew a lot of ground vehicles lately. I know it's rd's drone reviews, but you know i do like my ground stuff and right now, um with the house being built and moving between the in laws and my parents house back and forth. I just don't have my my table. I don't have my lights, my camera stuff set up, so i kind of need to do everything at once and then the complicate matters when i'm here at the in laws. I don't have anything with my laptop and it doesn't have the muscle so to speak, to be able to edit multiple video clips in terms of like when i do a drone, i've got picture and picture, and you know on board footage and when you have multiple Clips it just requires more pc power than i have so i can't really do that guys. I it already stutters enough of editing one clip in my editor, so i'll be doing some of these reviews. Here i am going to if you're running over the drone stuff is i'm gon na make a video, hopefully later this week.
If the weather cooperates, where i will uh test out the intelligent flight modes for the femi x8 sc 2020, i didn't get a chance to do that. Yet now let's test this here before we end you can see. This looks almost like a a jeep going through a swamp. The weeds here are kind of tall and it's clover, and it actually did pretty good until i got stuck right there that's. This is actually pretty like that's pretty thick, and this is only a 1 16 scale jeep. So i did. I did better than you would expect some of these brushed ones, not the brushless. The brush would get stuck in that so it's. You know it's geared for uh it's geared for low end torque, oh all, right guys, so that should wrap up this video. I think we got enough in here for the drive review this jeep so be sure to uh check the uh video description. If you're interested in buying this, you can pick it up at banggood for really cheap, be sure to subscribe to the channel, be sure to click that bell.
